Troubleshooting steps

Once you have completed the chat widget setup but the widget is still not showing up on your website, you can follow the steps listed below to fix this issue.

  1. If you have pasted the chat script before </body> tag, you can retry by pasting the script before </head> tag or </footer> tag instead.
  2. If the widget still doesn't appear, please share the below details at support@hiverhq.com so that we can escalate your issue to our engineering team.
    1. Your website link
    2. Name of the third party website builder, if any (E.g Wordpress.com, Helpdocs.io)
    3. Console logs
      1. Follow these steps to get the console logs: Right click on your website > Click 'Inspect' > Go to 'Console' tab in the top bar > Right click anywhere on the Console results and tap on 'Save as' > Save the .log file

    4. Network logs
      1. Follow these steps to get the network logs: Right click on your website > Click 'Inspect' > Go to 'Network' tab in the top bar > Add the keyword "chat" in Filter field > Refresh the page and wait for the network calls to load > Click on the download button to save the file or take a screenshot
